The resistance of certain fungal pathogens (sclerotinia, phytophthora, rhizoptonia, fusarium, etc) decreases with temperature at 43 C an elimination efficiency of 90% is achieved in 20 hours, whereas at 40 C, he sama rate of efficiency is obtained in 30 days.
With standard LDPE a temperature of approximately 41 C at a depth of 18 cm. can be achieved. Whereas with Solplast solarization film of the same thickness (40/50µ) temperatures of over 43 C can be reached, increasing the rate of elimination and reducing the time necessary for efficient solarization.
-
Sol Vif Film (Virtually Impermeable Film) 3 layer coextruded film with a specialty polyamide and LDPE/LLDPE mix employed to ensure impermeability to methyl bromide gas. Sol Vif guarantees a maximum permeability to MB gas of 0,12 gr/m
2h. Thus reducing costs and improving efficiency of chemical applications up to 50%.
Crop Precocity
- Thermal Blanket: 3 layer coextruded film with a chemical EVA copolymer and LPDE/LLDPE mix developed for use as floating covering to create a microclimate which favours crop development of better calibres and precocity.
This is achieved through a special IR and anti condensation package which permits an increased thermal effect and avoids dripping on plants.v
The multiperforations permit constant ventilation for the crop avoiding thermal stress to plants. Perforations are of 10 mm. diameter and in densities of between 450 and 500 perforations per m2.
- Table Grape Cover: Specially developed tunnel film with reinforced lateral eyelets for easy anchorage.
Permits to reduce the impact of UV radiation on fruit as well as offers control of light intensity and prevents heat loss. Recommended for fruit ripening. Can also be used for cherry and other soft fruits (apricot, peach, etc)
- Hydroponic Films 3 layer coextruded white/black film manufactured from LDPE and LLDPE in thickness from 100 µ (400 gauge) onwards. It is used as a subtrate support for hydroponic crops. Perforations are available upon demand.
- Biodegradable Mulch: Excellent for use 45-90 days, degrades completely into compost. Enhances soil fertilisation, reduces labour costs and optimises waste management.
Water Reservoirs
- Standard Water Reservoirs Film: 3 layer coextruded black LDPE sheeting manufactured in thicknesses of 250 µ and 350 µ designed for traditional l installation under sand and gravel.
- Thermoweld Water Reservoir Film: 3 layer coextruded black LDPE sheeting with high resistance and long service life, co-extruded in a thickness of 500 µ with highly weldable materials in the external layers and materials of excellent mechanical properties in the central layer.
Product Presentations
Different product presentation are available depending on thickness and widths requested (see table below) Perforations for mulch, micro tunnel and hydroponic films are available. They reduce time and labour costs and avoid damage to the plactic due to uncontrolled on-field puncturing.
- Macroperforations: In diameters of 10 mm., 50 mm., and 80 mm., can be in parallel or triangle formation. Generally used as planting frames and can be adapted to crop requirements of irrigation lines, crop density, etc.
- Multiperforations: In diameters of 10 mm, can be parallel or triangle formation. Used in a variety of crops as planting frame or floating cover (500 perforations per square meter)
- Microperforations: In diameters of 1 mm throughout the surface of the film to permit air ventilation and avoid scorching..
